Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston, about how the Charleston police handled DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. As well as her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also to Dateline NBC. She has covered such events including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of shows that were pre-showarrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
